NOSTRADAMUS

Nostradamus, the author of the famous Centuries, was an unusual man for his time. He was a practicing physician, astronomer and astrologer who lived in the mid 16th century (1503 TO 1566) who turned his hand to prophecy later in life.Nostradamus wrote messages from the past to the future in the form of short poems consisting of four lines each called Quatrains. In his lifetime Nostradamus completed a total of 942 quatrains, which he organized into groups of 100 quatrains called Centuries. However one century only has 46 quatrains. His followers say he predicted the French Revolution, the birth and rise to power of Hitler, and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He also predicted other events, such as the Great Fire of London (1666) and the exile of Napoleon to Alba. Recently the writings of Nostradamus have been shown to reveal the destruction of the space shuttle Challenger to the destruction, the death of Lady Diana and the destruction of the Twin Towers on 9/11/01. The fact that so many of his grimmest predictions in the past have indeed come true has given him the nickname The Prophet of Doom.


Unfortunately this great prophet also lived during the time of the Spanish inquisition. Conjuring spirits (or channeling as we call it today) was a crime punishable by death, which meant that he was force to scramble up the meaning and the order of his quatrains so that he could not be tried and executed for being a soothsayer. Even though his quatrains are divided up into books called Centuries they do not chronologically represent the timeline of any centuries. Scrambling the quatrains so that they did not follow a time line was one of the tricks that Nostradamus used to disguise his work as the ramblings of a mad poet. This explains why when you read the quatrains, he seems to be referring to incidents from all of the centuries at the same time.

Fulfilled prophecies:

1. Death of Henry II


The young lion will overcome the older one,
On the field of combat in a single battle;
He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage,
Two wounds made one, then he dies a cruel death.

(Century 1, Quatrain 35)

In June 1559, Henry II ignored all warnings that Nostradamus gave him and participated in a jousting tournament against the Comte de Montgomery. Both men used shields embossed with lions. Montgomery was six years younger than Henry.

During the final bout of fighting in the tournament, Montgomery failed to lower his lance in time. It shattered, sending a large splinter through the king’s gilded visor (golden cage). The result was two moral wounds (two wounds made one and then he will die a cruel death.) One splinter spliced eye; the other impaled his temple just behind the eye. Both splinters from the lance penetrated his brain. Henry lived for ten days in agony, thus fulfilling the Nostradamus prophecy that he would die a cruel death.

2. The Fire of London :

The blood of the just will be demanded of London,
Burnt by the fire in the year 66

(Century 2; Quatrain 51)


On Sunday morning, the 2nd September 1666, the destruction of medieval London began with one simple spark. In five days a cataclysmic fire destroyed the city of Shakespeare. An area of one and a half miles by half a mile lay in ashes; 373 acres inside the city walls and 63 acres outside, 87 churches destroyed (including St. Paul’s Cathedral) and 13,200 houses. Although the blood of the just in the quatrain was demanded of London, only six people died.

Some people see the blood of the just as it was translated from the French to mean that justice was done to the Black Death. This fire did the city a great service by destroying the millions of rats that were carrying the Black plague through the city's population.


3. The French Revolution:

From the enslaved people, songs, chants and demands,
The princes and lords are held captive in prisons:
In the future by such headless idiots
These will be taken as divine utterances.

(Century 1, Quatrain 14)


This quatrain aptly describes the serfdom of the French peasants (enslaved people) and their subsequent imprisonment (The princesses and lords are held in captive prisons). The headless idiots portion of the quatrain may refer to the fact that they were all beheaded.

Before the war comes, the great wall will fall,
The King will be executed, his death coming too soon will be lamented.
(The guards) will swim in blood,
Near the River Seine the soil will be bloodied.

(Century 2, Quatrain 57)

On July 14th, 1789 the people stormed the walls of the Bastille, the prison that stood as a symbol to the detested monarchy. This was a precursor to the revolution that shook France, and to the rise, and fall, of the guillotine, that stood on the banks of the River Seine. (The guards will swim n blood near the River Seine.) The French Revolution would simply serve to enhance Nostradamus reputation as a seer further. For ten days following the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, visitors to the fortress in Paris filed past a table upon which was a copy of The Centuries opened to the page of Nostradamus’ predictions describing the French Revolution written over 200 years earlier.

4. Emperor Napoleon:

PAU, NAY, LORON will be more of fire than of the blood,
To swim in praise, the great one to flee to the confluence.
He will refuse entry to the Piuses,
The depraved ones and the Durance will keep them imprisoned.

(Century 8, Quatrain 1)



PAU, NAY, LORON” when rearranged becomes NAPAULON ROY, or Napoleon the king, given the Corsican spelling of his name, Napauleone. The text also describes him as a man of ‘fire’, or of war, rather ‘than of the blood’, or of royal lineage. The ‘Piuses’ of the third line are the Popes Pius VI and Pius VII, who were both imprisoned by Napoleon as is implied by the last line.


5.WORLD WAR AND HITLER:

From the deepest part of Western Europe
A young child will be born to poor people
Who will by his speech seduce a great multitude,
His reputation will increase in the Kingdom of the East”

(Century 3, Quatrain 35)


This particular quatrain is believed to describe Hitler's childhood (a young child born to poor people), his charismatic personality (who will by his speech seduce a great multitude) and Germany's alliance with Japan (his reputation will increase in the Kingdom of the East.)

6. The Exile of Franco:

From Castille, Franco will bring out the assembly,
The ambassador will not agree and cause a schism:
The people of Rivera will be in the crowd,
And they will refuse entry into the Gulf

(Century 9, Quatrain 16)


Spanish dictator Francisco Franco (mentioned in first line) and his predecessor, Primo de Rivera (the people of Rivera), are mentioned outright. In 1936, the leftist-leaning Republican government had Franco exiled to the Canary Islands (and they will refuse entry into the gulf.) He later returned to Spain and organized a military junta. Afterwards Spain the experienced a by a full-scale civil war


7. Louis Pasteur:

The lost thing is found, hidden for so many centuries,
Pasteur will be honored as a demigod
This happens when the moon completes her great cycle,
He will be dishonored by other winds.

(Century 1, Quatrain 25)



This quatrain predicts the discovery of Pasteur. As a doctor, Nostradamus was himself very concerned with the mysterious nature of the plague and apparently made a link between running water, still water and the persistence of the plague. Louis Pasteur was the scientist who discovered the existence of microscopic germs. Critics also accused Pasteur of faking his results, which is what Nostradamus may have meant by, dishonored by other winds

8. Charles De Gaulle

Hercules King of Rome and of Annemark,
Three times one surnamed de Gaulle will lead,
Italy and the one of St Mark to tremble,
First monarch, renowned above all

(Century 9, Quatrain 33)

Charles de Gaulle was a leader of France three times (three times one surnamed de Gaulle will lead) first as leader of the Free French Forces, then as prime minister of the provisional post WWII government, then as the first president of the French Fifth Republic

9. The Kennedy Assassinations

The following two quatrains are attributed to describing the deaths of both Robert Kennedy and John F. Kennedy.


The ancient work will be accomplished,
And from the roof evil ruin will fall on the great man:
They will accuse an innocent, being dead, of the deed:
The guilty one is hidden in the misty copse.

(Century 6, Quatrain 37)

This quatrain greatly pleases all of the conspiracy theorists who believe that Oswald was not the murderer of the U.S. President.

The “ancient work” part of the quatrain has been interpreted many ways. Some perceive it the ancient work as being a curse on Joseph Kennedy for assisting the Nazis during World War II despite having knowledge of the Jewish exterminations. Others interpret it as simply “ betrayal ” in the manner of Brutus slaying Ceaser. Yet others interpret it of being the work of a secret society or the Freemasons (an organization descended from the Knights of Templar.)

The “from the roof” phrase implies that the killing shot came from somewhere other than Oswald. Oswald is “ the innocent, being dead, of the deed” who was a “dead man” set up by the FBI as the pansy for the assassination. The misty copse refers to the infamous grassy knoll where some witnesses say they saw a sniper shoot on the President's cavalcade.

The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt,
The evil deed predicted by the bearer of a petition:
According to the prediction another falls at night,
Conflict in Reims, London, and pestilence in Tuscany.

(Century 1, Quatrain 27)

This quatrain refers to the timing of the assassination. As per his prediction - JFK was shot in the day, at 12 noon, and his brother Robert Kennedy was shot at night, at 1 am. That year there were student riots in London and Paris (conflicts in Reims and London. There was also a big flood in Florence in 1968 that prompted fears of pestilence.


10.The Death of Pope John Paul I

Much to the dismay of many Catholics, there are several quatrains that point to the death of Pope John Paul I being a murder. This pope held office for only 35 days in 1978 and died mysteriously

When the tomb of the great Roman is found,
a new Pope will be elected the following day
he will not be approved by the Senate
his blood poisoned in the sacred chalice.

(Century 3, Quatrain 65)



A murder is once again pointed to in this quatrain. The tomb of the great Roman is St. Peter. The senate is the Cardinals of the Curia. The quatrain implies that Pope John Paul I was poisoned by being given something to drink.

He who shall have the government of the great cloak
will be led to execution in several cases.
The twelve red ones will come to spoil the cover
beneath murder, murder is done.”

(Century 4, Quatrain 11)

The one in the great cloak is the Pope. The twelve red ones refer to the cardinals.

“Elected as Pope he will be mocked by the chosen
suddenly and unexpectedly removed, prompt and timid.
Caused to die, through too much goodness and kindness
he will fear for the guard killed on the night of his death.”

(Century 10, Quatrain 12)

In 1979 new Pope (John Paul I) had scarcely been pope for a month, when suddenly, he died. He was immediately cremated which is unusual because of the tradition of the entombment of popes within the Vatican walls. An autopsy was not performed and a cause of death not officially determined. This has created much speculation about a conspiracy to eliminate him because he was perceived as being too weak to deal with the issues of the day


Nostradamus and The Present Day :

1. 9/11:

This is the quatrain that is largely agreed upon as being a terrifying prediction of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The years are a bit off but that is not unusual for Nostradamus whose long term astrological predictions are always a bit off (no computers back then.) Also nobody is sure if Nostradamus was using the Gregorian or Julian calendar to calculate his dates.




In the year 1999, in the seventh month, from the sky will come the great King of Terror, bringing back to life the great King of the Mongols. Before and after, Mars to reign by good fortune.

Although the date of the event appears to be two years too early, it is important to remember that Nostradamus often wrote in anagrams. The real clue is that the date 1999 is nothing more than a numeric anagram. If we reverse the order of the “1”s and “9”s, we arrive at the date 9-11-1 (the date of the 9-11 attacks).

Even more frightening is the following quatrain.

Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth. will cause the towers around the New City to shake, Two great rocks for a long time will make war, And then Arethusa (a ship) will color a new river red. (Century 1, Quatrain 87)

Although this is a weaker quatrain, there is a mention of the New City, which may be New City and “the towers” which may allude to the twin towers. Arethusa is thought to be an anagram for an event that we have yet to see that is related to terrorist attacks and the war in Iraq.


2. The Iraq War

There is a quatrain of Nostradamus that clearly points to three conflicts occurring in the areas of Arabia/Kuwait, of Eastern Turkey and of Iran. The first one already came to pass 12 years ago in what came be to known as Desert Storm. The second one refers to the current war in Iraq. And the third one is for the near future when, this time, Iran will be involved also.

The first quatrain is

On the field of Iran, of Arabia and of Eastern Turkey
Two great armies will assemble three times
Near the river Araks
The host of the great Suleiman will be cut off

(Century 3, Quatrain 31)

“By firepower of armies, not far from the Black Sea,
He will come from Iran to occupy Trebizond

(Century 5, Quatrain 27)

Trebizond is a strategic city in Eastern Turkey on the shores of the Black Sea.

Quatrain No.54, Century No. 5, states:

From the Black Sea and the great Tartary;
a would be king will come to see Gaul
He will transpire Alania and Armenia
and in Istanbul will leave his bloody standard.

Gaul was an ancient name for Turkey and Alania is modern day Chechnya that suggests Russian involvement in the Iraq-Iran conflicts in the near future.

3.The Death of Princess Diana :

The last son of the man with the Prophet’s name
Will bring Diana to her day of rest.
At a distance they wander in frenetic grief
Delivering a great people from ruin.’

(Century 2, Quatrain 28)



The father of Dodi al-Fayed, the owner of Harrod’s department store, is named
Mohammed, the name of the Islamic Prophet (the man with the prophet’s name. ) He is with her until her day of death (day of rest.)

In this verse he gives the month of Diana’s death, it is the last number of the verse. If you add the 2 to 28, you have 30. Diana died on 8/31. We can create 8/30 by adding the numbers making him only one day off.


4.The space shuttle Challenger, destroyed on take-off on January 28th 1986.

The craft combusted just after lift-off from the launch pad.

From the human flock nine will be sent away,
Separated from control and advice
Their fate will be sealed on departure K-Th-L make a error;
the dead banished

(Century 1, Quatrain 81)

This quatrain is off as there were only seven crew members on board (or were there?) However the rest of it is eerily accurate. Separated from control and advice refers to the fact that they were out of communication with NASA Ground Control.
“Their fate was sealed on departure ” certainly gives you something to think about if you consider that afterwards, videos showed flames escaping while the rocket was still on the launching pad.

K-Th-L may be an anagram or short for for ThioKol, the company that manufactured the defective rocket engine. Nostradamus may have omitted the vowels. By the way, a original written the last line is in Latin reading “Kappa, Thita, Lambda mors bannis esgarez. ” And this becomes K-Th-L, which becomes “Thiokol ” which becomes “Morton Thiokol Corporation


Nostradamus Predictions For The Future:

1. Los Angeles Earthquakes:

Everyone from physicists to evangelists to prophets have been predicting “the big one” since the San Francisco was devastated in 1906.

The sloping park, great calamity,
Through “the Lands of the West and Lombardy
The fire in the ship, plague and captivity;
Mercury in Sagitarius, Saturn fading.

(Century 10, Quatrain 79)



Lombardy is in Italy and the Lands of the West possibly refers to the New World. This quatrain seems to suggest that the earthquakes will occur in these places. According to astrologers the next time that Mercury will be in Sagittarius and Saturn in a “fading” position will be on November 25, 2015; then on November 23, 2016; and again on December 7, 2044.

2. The Assassination of George W. Bush

In Quatrain Number 62 in Century 2, Nostradamus interpretations abound about that assassination of President bush.

Mabus then will soon die, there will come
Of people and beasts a horrible rout:
Then suddenly one will see vengeance,
Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run.




Some scholars of Nostradamus interpret Mabus to mean Mr. Bush. There are several comets destined to light up the skies in the next few years. One of them is Comet S-W3 73P, Comet 73P / Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 which will be closest to the earth May 13, 2006 and be closest to the sun on June 6, 2006. Another significant connection is that this comet was discovered in 1930 during Hitler’s rise to power. The Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 that is predicted to be an omen of the assassination of President Bush in 2006. Usually these predictions take place within a year or so of the original date.

3. World War III :

The year 1999 seven month, From the sky will come a great King of terror: To bring back to life the great King of Angolmois, (the Mongols), Before after Mars to reign by good luck (Century 10, Quatrain 72)

This is the quatrain that describes the attack on the World Trade Center in New York. . This holy terror could be linked to the Third Antichrist who may be the fearsome Mabus (sometimes interpreted as Mr. Bush) or the North African Terrorist from the quatrain below.

One who the infernal gods of Hannibal Will cause to be reborn, terror of mankind Never more horror nor worse of days In the past than will come to the Romans through Babel. (Century 2, Quatrain 30)

Many interpreters have tried to understand the prophetic significance of Nostradamus bringing back to life The King of the Monghols. Genghis Khan was the last great Mongol. The vast Islamic western wing of his empire included modern-day Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, and the Central Asian republics of the former Soviet Union.

According to the prophet, Genghis Khan and his empire are now returning in another incarnation. Eerily 1990, the leaders of the People’s Republic of China restored Genghis Khan to his “rightful” place in Chinese history.

In the following his quatrain indicates that it will be preceded by the coming of the Third Antichrist from the East, “the king of the Mongols,”

At forty-five degrees, the sky will burn, Fire approaches the great new city, Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up When they want to have verification from the Norman (Century 5 Quatrain 97)

In this phrase, Nostradamus refers to a great city in the new world of America near forty-five degrees latitude. Experts agree this could only be New York.

The incident in New York is followed by the quatrains that describe the end of the world. The verification from the Norman may be an odd reference to France’s refusal to support the Iraq War.

The king will want to enter the new city, Through its enemies they will come to subdue it Captives liberated to speak and act falsely, King to be outside, he will keep far from the enemy. (Century 10, Quatrain 49)

This is a very frightening allusion to terrorism being near but also far away. There is also an implication that traitors have been set free (captives librated to speak and act falsely)

Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains, It will be seized and plunged into the Vat, Drinking by force the waters poisoned by sulfur (Century 10, Quatrain 49)

This quatrain speaks of some calamity that poisons the water supply. The garden of the world near the new city (New York) might be Washington.

By fire he will destroy their city, A cold and cruel heart, Blood will pour, Mercy to none. Earth-shaking fire from the center of the Earth. will cause the towers around the New City to shake, Two great rocks for a long time will make war, And then Arethusa will color a new river red.
(Century 1, Quatrain 87)

As mentioned before, Arethusa may be the name of a ship or a missile. It appears to be an anagram.

The Eastern kings shall carry out the Divine Justice. Turkey shall be devastated. (Century 10, Quatrain 72)

This in essence has already happened with the defeat of Iraq.

The regions subjected to Muslim armies Shall cause mountains trembling with great war Prisoners of both sexes and throughout Turkey One shall cry at dawn from land to land (Century 5, Quatrain 70)

There seems to be a terrible misunderstanding occur in the following quatrains

The fire by night will take hold in two lodgings, Several within suffocated and roasted. It will happen near two rivers as one: Sun, Sagittarius and Capricorn all will be reduced (Century 2, Quatrain 35)

This sounds like a terrorist attack. After this there will be a dispute between two great world leaders.

A great number will be condemned When the monarchs will be reconciled: But for one of them such a bad impediment will arise That they will be joined together but loosely. (Century 2, Quatrain 36)

This describes the downfall or unpopularity of on one of the leaders. Unfortunately real-life evidence points to George Bush as the culprit --as the leader with the impediment (lack of support from his people.)

The following quatrain bodes that World War III may be closer than we think. Its arrival is heralded after the fall of the Republican Party in the United States.

One year before the Italian conflict, Germans, Gauls, Spaniards for the fort: The republican schoolhouse will fall, There, except for a few, they will be choked dead. (Century 2, Quatrain 38.)
The Republican schoolhouse is the U.S. government, which is at its lowest popularity ever in history at the time of writing. After the Republican government in the United States is voted out of a power quatrain indicates a planned invasion from a Muslim country.

Muslims, wars, the Day of the Lord, the Harlot, the Lioness Beast The reign of the Church from the sea shall be succumbed Toward Iran one shall see nearly one million troops Turkey, Egypt, evils shall invade (Century 5, Quatrain 25)

The invasion from the Muslim countries n shall occur on Mediterranean shores. According to Nostradamus World War II then progresses to an invasion of the Italian coast.

From Monaco as far as Sicily All the coast demolished and desolate There shall not be any more suburb, city, nor village That the Muslim invaders shall leave undone Century 2, Quatrain 4)

During continuing unrest in the Middle East, one of the leaders will be able to get a hold of a nuclear bomb. Given current events, the suspect is probably the leader of Iran. The European Mediterranean coast, particularly that of Italy and France, will be almost uninhabitable once this bomb is exploded,
Russian troops will then join the attack.

The Russians through a military good fortune Shall be elevated to a high degree Shall change their prince, one born in a province Shall pass sea, troop shall climb over high mountains (Century 5, Quatrain 26)

Nostradamus predicts that Russia will attack Italy from the south near the Black Sea and from the north by crossing the Alps.

The mass shall approach coming from Russia The ancient Destroyer shall ruin the city Violently desolated Romanie shall see Afterwards the great flame of war shall not be quenched (Century 4, Quatrain 82)

Rome will be destroyed, prompting World War II.

In the great Empire with everyone’s existence hung in desperation One over the others shall secure it But little time shall last for his reign and existence Two years the navy shall be rotten due to poor maintenance (Century 10, Quatrain 32)

However it seems that the war will be too much for Russia and that victory is short lived. This quatrain describes a broken down empire and a navy that withdraws due to poor upkeep.

Norway and Denmark and British island Through the united brothers shall be vexed The Roman (Italian) chief issued from French blood And his troops shall be repulsed into the forests (Century 6, Quatrain 7)

This quatrain describes battles between the allies of Norway, Denmark and Britains and Muslims who set foot on French soil. Meanwhile at sea the French fleet will be surrounded by enemies.

By negligence French fleet shall be attacked by five parties Tunisia and Algeria stirred up by Iran Leon, Seville, Barcelonia shall fall (into Muslim hands) Italian fleet shall not fare any better (Century 1, Quatrain 73)

Spain and Italy shall quickly fall into Muslim hands and later become Eastern allies.

Shipwreck of a fleet near Adriatic Sea The earthquakes, moved with the air above Egypt trembles due to Muslim extremist faction A public officer renders a loud cry before committing suicide (Century 2, Quatrain 86)

Muslims will destroy the French fleet in the Adriatic Sea. The Muslim governments will dominate the region. A hapless world leader will commit suicide.

A great army from Barcelona by sea shall attack All Marseilles shall tremble with fear Islands shall be seized, reinforcement from the sea halted Traditors shall swim in land (Century 3, Quatrain 88)

After defeating French navy in Adriatic Sea, the Muslims shall advance to Marseilles through Spain. Marseilles shall be vulnerable due to no protection from French navy. Nostradamus also describes a flight of refugees from France.

Throughout Marseilles the inhabitants shall change French citizens shall flee as far as Lyon Narbonne and Toulouse shall become outraged by Bordeaux Killed, captured, almost one million French (Century 1, Verse 72)
The present total population of Marseilles, Narbonne and Toulouse is approximately one million people, which hopefully is not testimony to the accuracy of Nostradamus. France will totally be defeated by the Muslims.

This next quatrain speaks of chemical warfare.

Upon Mount Bailley and Bresse Shall be hidden in Genoa fierce weapons Beyond Lyon and Vienna, great hail upon them Languished on the ground, less than one third shall survive (Century 9, Quatrain 7=69)

Great Britain shall also suffer floods and war.

Great Britain including England By sea shall suffer great floods The new league including Italy shall raise war against her Italy herself shall dress all her wounds (Century 3,Quatrain 70)

The new league mentioned is the alliance of Iran Italy, Russia, and Spain.

USA shall exert a great effort Across the Atlantic Ocean to open English shore The sovereignty of England shall be reinstated As London is trembling in discovering enemy sails
(Century II, Quatrain 68)

The United States shall rescue England from the siege of Muslim and Italian league by fighting on the water.

In the grassy fields of Alein and Varneigne Upon Mount Lebron near Durance Conflict between two sides shall be very fierce Mesopotamie shall fall on French soil (Century 3, Quatrain 99)

Mesopatamie describes the ancient region which is now Iran and Iraq. The U.S. and Britain will defeat the Muslims on French soil.

By River Danube and Rhine shall come to drink The great Camel which shall not repent Trembling is River Rhone and most violent for those near River Loire And near Alps the Cock shall ruin them (Century 68, Quatrain 68)

The Muslims will retreat to Germany before they leave Western Europe entirely. However despite this the Arab armies will be beaten back to their own lands in the Middle East.

In the fields of Media, Arabe, and Armenia Two great armies shall assemble three times Near the Arabic shore or Persian Gulf The Israelites on land shall tumble (Century 3, Quatrain 31)

There will be three great battles before the Muslims are beaten back to the Middle East. Unfortunately this quatrain also predicts great suffering for the Jews who will be caught in this conflict.

At the end of the European War…

Saturn and Mars in Leo, Spain captive Lybian chief in the battle shall be caught Near Malta, the heralded Prince Henry shall be cheered And Roman Scepter shall be struck by a Frenchman (Century 5, Quatrain 15)

The pope (the Roman Sceptor) shall be killed near the end of the War by a French Assassin. Spain shall surrender. Prince Henry (or perhaps Prince Harry of England) shall be heralded in Malta.

At the great battle of Armageddon Shall join the crusade through rows totally attached The pertanious army of God against the army of the evil Serpent The Dragon shall be loosened on October third (Century 9, Quatrain 62)

The Dragon might be a metaphor for Chinese troops. The final battle of Armageddon. begins on October third and the, Iranian leader shall be captured on October 7th 2025 indicating that this great decisive battle might be between Western allies and Muslim alliance. The national symbol of China has always been the Red Dragon

5. The End of the World

Nostradamus first wrote of the end of the world in his famous letter to Henry II.

“Then the great empire of the Antichrist will begin where Attila and Xerxes descended (Central Asia and Persia/Iran)—in numbers great and countless, so many that the coming of the Holy Ghost, proceeding from the 48th degree will make a transmigration, driving out the abomination of the Antichrist [who is] making war against the Royal who will be the great Vicar of Jesus Christ, and against his Church, and his reign for a time and to the end of time.”

“And this will be preceded by a solar eclipse more dark than any since the creation of the world..., and there shall be in the month of October some great movement and transference and it will be such that one will think that the Earth has lots its natural movement, and that it will be plunged into the abyss of perpetual darkness; there will be initial omens in the spring, and extraordinary changes in rapid succession thereafter, reversals of kingdoms and mighty earthquakes, with the increase of the new Babylon..., augmented by the abomination of the first Holocaust, and it will last no less than 73 years and 7 months...”

“And then great peace will be established, union and concord between the children of the frontiers who have been gathered and separated by diverse reigns...”

There are also specific quatrains, reading much like the Book of Revelatons, that describe the aftermath of some kind of holocaust triggered by the battle of Armegeddon that pits the Chinese against Americans.

These quatrains appear to pick up after a bomb has been dropped and others suggest climate changes and changes in the earth’s position in the heavens.

For forty years the rainbow will not appear; For forty years it will be seen every day: The arid earth will grow more dry, And great floods when it will be seen. (Century 1, Quatrain 17)

This quatrain speaks of an extreme climate change. Many have interpreted it to mean that the earth will shift on its axis

You will see, sooner and later, great changes made, Extreme horrors and vengeances: For as the moon is thus led by its angel, The heavens draw near to the reckoning. (Century 1, Quatrain 56)

This quatrain suggests that horrors will be near as the moon appears closer to the earth. It might somehow describe the destruction of the moon as it is led by its angel towards a day of reckoning.

Pestilences extinguished, the world becomes smaller, For a long time the lands will be inhabited in peace: People will travel safely through the sky (over) land and wave: Then wars will start anew. (Century 1, Quatrain 63)

After Armegeddon, there appears to be a period of peace.

The gods will make it appear to the humans, That they will be the authors of a great conflict: Sword and lance before heaven is observed as serene, So that on the left hand there will be great affliction. (Century 1, Quatrain 91)

The sword and the lance refers to Russia. The new wars near the end of the next century may have to do with Russia.

Too much the heavens weep for the Androgyne procreation, Near the heavens human blood shed: Because of death too late a great people re-created, Late and soon comes the awaited help (Century 2, Quatrain 45)

The androgyne progreation refers to the word androgynous. This sentence is often thought to refer to damage from bioengineering and cloning. There also seems to be a battle fought in the sky, perhaps between satellites or space ships.

When the eclipse of the Sun will then be, The monster (divine omen) will be seen in plain daylight: Quite otherwise will one interpret it, High price unguarded: none will have provided for it. (Century 3, Quatrain 34)

The monster (divine omen) may be the shards of the moon or a great comet. Some also interpret this as alien invasion or a missle.

The trembling of the earth at Mortara, The tin islands of St. George half sunk; Drowsy with peace, war will arise, At Easter in the temple abysses opened.

Mortara is in Lombardy Italy and during the Crusades was a popular resting spot for pilgrims and boasts a huge gothic church.

(Century 9, Quatrain 31)

When the lamp burning with an inextinguishable fire, Will be found in the temple of the Vestals, Infant found fire, water passing through the sieve, Nimes, Toulouse perish [in] water, the market to collapse. (Century 9, Quatrain 9 )

This quatrain seems to be describing a nuclear power plant or nuclear missile facility. This accounts for the lamp burning with an inextinguishable fire and the water passing through the sieve. The words “infant found fire” imply some kind of mistake is made. The original temple of the Vestals is in Rome and may be the target of a missile. This quatrain also seems to allude to some kind of stock market collapse and flooding in France.

Northern wind will cause the siege to be raised, Over the walls to throw ashes, lime chalk and dust, Through rain afterwards, which will do them much harm, Meanest assistance against their frontier. (Century 9, Quatrain 99)

This particular quatrain also seems to allude to some sort of nuclear accident and the fall out afterwards “rain afterwards, which will do them much harm.”

There will be peace, union and change, Estates and offices low [are] high, those high [made] very low: To prepare for a journey torments the first offspring, War to cease, civil processes, debates. (Century 9, Quatrain 66)

This quatrain also refers to a period of peace, with changes difficult to implement for the first generations forced to put them in effect.

The human realm of Angelic offspring, Will cause its realm to hold in peace and union: War captive halfway inside its enclosure, For a long time peace will be maintained for them. (Century 10, Quatrain 42)

Some have interpreted angelic offspring to mean that aliens will descend and mate with humans creating a new super race.

When will all of this happen? It appears that the end of the world begins the year that the great seventh number is accomplished

The year the great seventh number is accomplished, Appearing at the time of the great games of slaughter: Not far from the age of the great millennium, When the dead will come out of their graves. (Century 10, Quatrain 74)

This quatrain has driven many numerologists and scholars mad as they try and divine the true meaning of the number seven.Some have interpreted to mean that the quatrains make sense if every seventh quatrain is read in order like a narrative. Many have interpreted it to mean the year 2007 and still others 2070 which according to other Nostradamus quatrains is the year when World War III ends and the years of peace that lead to the end of the world begin!

Doomsday-the end of the world on Dec 21,2012

Many religions, calendars and prophecies point to Dec. 21, 2012 as the end of the world.One of the main theories driving this prophecy is that the Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012. The Mayans studied our sun and made their prophecies based on the cycles of the sun.

Based on their observations, the Mayans predicted that from the initial date of the start of their civilization, 3113 B.C., one cycle being completed would be 5,125 years in their future, Dec. 21, 2012. The sun, having received a powerful ray of synchronizing light from the center of the galaxy, would change its polarity which would produce a great cosmic event that would propel human kind to be ready to cross into a new era, "The Golden Age."

Second sign is the increase of natural disasters leading up to the date. Natural disasters have devastated the earth throughout history, and in recent years we have seen just about everything -- hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, earthquakes and floods.

One prediction that the U.S. is headed for five natural disasters has some believing in the doomsday theory.

Another factor is that many of the world’s religions and most famous prophets reference something cataclysmic happening around Dec. 21, 2012. The medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization.

Also, one of the best known Catholic prophets, Irishman Maelmhaedhoc O'Morgair, better known as St. Malachy, predicts that the Pope after John Paul II would be the last.

Then there are those who believe in the famous predictions of Nostradamus. Those studying the Prophecies of Nostradamus say that he has indicated the possibility of a Third World War.

It is believed that a major terrorist attack on the U.S., assassination of some world leaders and another war in the Middle East may precede the Third World War, as well as numerous natural disasters. Sounds a lot like the world we live in today.

There is also this tie in to modern-day technology. The Web Bot Project, developed in the late 1990s to assist in making stock market predictions using a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search for keywords, much like a search engine does, also came up with the same date.

Skeptics point to a long history of "Failed Doomsdays," but many oracles of doom throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record.

Doomsday clock:


The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, maintained since 1947 by the board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago, that uses the analogy of the human race being at a time that is "minutes to midnight", wherein midnight represents "catastrophic destruction". Originally, the analogy represented the threat of global nuclear war, but since includes climate-changing technologies and "new developments in the life sciences and nanotechnology that could inflict irrevocable harm".The number of minutes before midnight – measuring the degree of nuclear, environmental, and technological threats to mankind – is periodically corrected; currently, the clock reads five minutes to midnight, having advanced two minutes on 17 January 2007.

Sunspot cycle:

Scientists say the Sun has just undergone an important change. Our star's magnetic field has flipped.

The Sun's magnetic north pole, which was in the northern hemisphere just a few months ago, now points south. It's a topsy-turvy situation, but not an unexpected one.

"This always happens around the time of solar maximum," says David Hathaway, a solar physicist at the Marshall Space Flight Center. "The magnetic poles exchange places at the peak of the sunspot cycle. In fact, it's a good indication that Solar Max is really here."The Sun's magnetic poles will remain as they are now, with the north magnetic pole pointing through the Sun's southern hemisphere, until the year 2012 when they will reverse again. This transition happens, as far as we know, at the peak of every 11-year sunspot cycle -- like clockwork.

Earth’s magnetic field also flips, but with less regularity. Consecutive reversals are spaced 5 thousand years to 50 million years apart. The last reversal happened 740,000 years ago. Some researchers think our planet is overdue for another one, but nobody knows exactly when the next reversal might occur.

Although solar and terrestrial magnetic fields behave differently, they do have something in common: their shape. During solar minimum the Sun's field, like Earth's, resembles that of an iron bar magnet, with great closed loops near the equator and open field lines near the poles. Scientists call such a field a "dipole."

Solar minimum has arrived. Sunspots have all but vanished. Solar flares are nonexistent. The sun is utterly quiet.

Like the quiet before a storm.

Researchers announced that a storm is coming--the most intense solar maximum in fifty years. The prediction comes from a team led by Mausumi Dikpati of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). "The next sunspot cycle will be 30% to 50% stronger than the previous one," she says. If correct, the years ahead could produce a burst of solar activity second only to the historic Solar Max of 1958.



However some say the planet will just undergo a transformation or humanity will experience a change in consciousness. Still others say that whatever you believe will happen on December 21, 2012, is exactly what you will experience at that time in history.The idea that humanity or the world at large is about to undergo some sort of transformation does not represent a new idea. For instance, the ancient Jewish mystics predict a change as well, but the world transformation they see coming doesn’t happen for another 231 years. That said, it’s already in its beginning stages.The Kabbalists(Jewish) were clear that we should prepare for the coming era by changing our consciousness from a selfish one to a selfless one. To help prepare for 2012 — or the Jewish year 6,000 — we have to develop a higher consciousness that wants to receive not for our own sake but for the sake of giving to others.


Lets hope for the best and plan for the worst!!

Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech 2005

This is the text of the Commencement address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 2005.

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.

I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?

It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" They said: "Of course." My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.

And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.

It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5¢ deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example:

Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found it fascinating.

None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But ten years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.

Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

My second story is about love and loss.

I was lucky — I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz and I started Apple in my parents garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. We had just released our finest creation — the Macintosh — a year earlier, and I had just turned 30. And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started? Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. So at 30 I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.

I really didn't know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me — I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.

I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I returned to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together.

I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

My third story is about death.

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.

I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.

This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope its the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960's, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

As every Potter-fanatic will tell you, this book played a key role in the conclusion of the Deathly Hallows. Professor Dumbledore bequeathed this collection of fairy tales compiled by a 15th-century bard– the wizard world's equivalent of the Grimm brothers – to Hermoine, with the hope that she would find it "entertaining and instructive". Later she reads out from it "The Tale of the Three Brothers", a fable about what happens to those who try to cheat Death.

In the first story, "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot", a kindly old wizard makes potions to solve the problems of all his neighbours – even the muggles. After he dies, he passes his "lucky cooking pot" onto his son who proves less generous with his spells. Soon the pot becomes plagued with "hungry slugs" and horrible odours that will remain until he does the right thing.

A later tale, "The Warlock's Hairy Heart", draws on a similar kind of symbolism. A fearsome wizard hides his heart in an enchanted crystal casket, so that he can pursue his worldly ambitions without the encumbrance of love. One day he decides to restore it to his chest, but by this time it has grown so shrunken and hairy that it cannot temper his violent instincts.


"The Fountain of Fair Fortune" is the blandest tale in the book. Three witches and a knight set off on a quest for a fountain that will cure their ills; as ever, though, it turns out that the journey is more important than the destination. The notes to this story, concerning a theatrical adaptation of this tale at Hogwarts, will please only the hardcore fans. "Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump" is a variation of "The Emperor's New Clothes", except that the king in this story pretends to be able to perform magic.

An Enjoyable Supplement for Harry Potter Fans

While fans may be disappointed that no further secrets or information about their favourite Harry Potter characters are revealed, they will no doubt enjoy Dumbledore’s commentary of the tales and the connection with the final book of the series.
